When I had my portfolio interview a few weeks ago, illustrator Jo Davies suggested that I create a series of character sheets to demonstrate my ability to handle various subject matters. She believed these would showcase my artistic abilities to a deeper degree.
Taking this advice on board, I decided to put together some illustrations of this form.
After examining my portfolio, I realised that there was no representation of animals. It's important that I can demonstrate my skills, through my ability to draw lots of things, not just people. Therefore the focus for these character sheets was on sea creatures. In the upcoming weeks, I'm hoping to create more of these illustrations, centring on more diverse subject matters.
As well as coloured examples, I also created black and white illustrations.
